Lin was born in London and came to Australia in 1974.
Lin obtained her Honours Law Degree at London University and her Masters in Law at Sydney University.
Lin is an Accredited Specialist in Family Law (NSW Law Society).
Lin is a Public Notary and is admitted to practice both in the NSW Courts and in the High Court of Australia.
She worked as an executive officer for the Minister of Technology in the United Kingdom. Then she worked at Spinks & Co. in England (offices in Bristol, London, Switzerland and Belgium) as a Company and Commercial Lawyer.
After she came to Australia, Lin worked at Department of Commonwealth Police and Customs (Australia) as a lawyer and later as a Film Lawyer for the New South Wales Film Corporation.
Lin taught Conveyancing with Andrew Lang at Macquarie University.
Lin qualified as a Barrister in 1983.
Lin moved to Muswellbrook in 1984 and worked as a Family Law Solicitor for FitzGerald White Talbot.
She has now established her own practice – Lawlers Solicitors and Conveyancers.
